Opened in 2005, The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture documents, interprets, and preserves the complex experiences, contributions, and culture of Black people. Named for a native son of Baltimore who was the first African American to leverage a $1 billion international acquisition deal, The Lewis Museum stands as a tribute to his legacy while celebrating the rich and diverse contributions of Black Marylanders through history.
