Hommages au soldat inconnu
Le 11 novembre 1920, le corps d'un soldat anonyme français est inhumé sous l'arche de l'Arc de triomphe, en symbole de tous les combattants tombés au cours de la Première Guerre mondiale. Depuis le 11 novembre 1923, la flamme du souvenir est ravivée en tête de la sépulture tous les jours à 18h30 au cours d'une cérémonie d'hommage.

Tribute to the unknown soldier
On 11 November 1920 the body of an unknown soldier was buried beneath the vault of the Arc de Triomphe, as a symbol of all the soldiers who fell in the course of the First World War. Since 11 November 1923, the flame of remembrance on the top of the tomb has been rekindled every day at 6.30pm during a memorial ceremony.

El II de noviembre de 1920, el cuerpo de un soldado anónimo francés es inhumado bajo el Arco del triunfo representando a todos los combatientes caídos durante la Primera Guerra mundial. Desde el 11 de de noviembre de 1923 la llama conmemorativa es revivida a la altura del cabezal de la sepultura todos los días a las 18:30 h durante una ceremonia de homenaje.
