1. Kruitmolen/ Gunpowder Mill Marker
Deze molen werd gebouwd in 1820 als buskruitmolen en geλxploiteerd door de voorname familie Loisel, tevens eigenaar van de Fransche Molen in Valkenburg, en gebruikt als zodanig tot 1851. Na deze tijd werd de molen tevens benut bij de productie van papier en tenslotte als onderdeel van een bierbrouwerij. Het brouwhuis uit 1936, met onder andere de koperen brouwketels en interieur uit die tijd, herinneren hier nog aan.
Built in 1820 as a gunpowder mill and operated by the Loisel family from Valkenburg, also owners of the French Mill in Valkenburg, it was used as such until 1851. After that time, the mill was used for paper production and eventually as part of a beer brewery. The brewery house from 1936, with its copper brew kettles and typical decor, is still reminiscent of that time.

Overview (in translation): The Kruitmolen (also called: Polfermolen) is a water mill in Valkenburg in the Dutch province of Limburg. The mill uses the water of the Geul river. Gunpowder was initially produced in the powder mill. Later it became a paper mill and later it was used to generate electricity.
