Inscription.
16 million men left their homes, families, farms, mines and factories to preserve the freedoms so many take for granted today.

Their wives, sisters and mothers also left their homes to work the factories in support of the war effort with their limbs live and minds they changed the course and mind of the world and made history.
Those same men and women came home and did the impossible, they build the greatest country the world has ever known.

America can never thank them enough and we are forever grateful they have been called
"Americas greatest generation"
