Overview (in translation): Theodoor Dorren, born on August 30, 1857 and died on January 23, 1937 in Valkenburg, where he was a poet who wrote in Valkebergs-ish (a local variety of Limburgish). He wrote articles in Dutch and wrote the first words of the Valkeberg dialect together. By profession he was a pastry chef. In 1885 he was the founder and from 1908 the president of the Valkenburg VVV, which would later become VVV Het Geuldal. Later, he described the discovery of what would have been the meaning of a prehistoric cave. The space, decorated with primitive carvings, had lain beneath the remains of the Valkeberg Castle .(Submitted on June 16, 2024.)
