Tireless worker who never missed a start in decade of the fifties. Won 286 over 19 year career. Won 20 games 6 years in a row for Philadelphia Whiz Kids. Led N.L. in innings pitched, 1951-55 and in complete games, 1952-56. Started 5 All-Star games. Major League Player of the year, 1952 and 1955.
