Regarding The Spring House. Excerpt from the National Register nomination for the Springboro Historic District, which includes this property:
The spring house, located at 240 S. Main Street, is historically associated with the Joseph Stanton House immediately to its south at 250 S. Main (c. 1833-37, photo 31). The spring house, likely built about 1840, fronts directly on Main Street and is a small rectangular brick building (approximately 16 by 14 feet), with an addition to its rear. Features include a two-bay facade with recessed brick panels containing a door and window, flush eaves with wood fascia board, and a side-gabled roof of standing-seam metal.
