Elvis Presley was stationed at the US Army Ray Barracks in nearby Friedberg from October 1, 1958 to March 2, 1960. Most of that time he lived in Bad Nauheim - first in the Hilberts Parkhotel, then in the Hotel Villa Grunewald, and then finally in a house at Goethestrasse 14. The building in the background is the Hotel Villa Grunewald, where he lived from October 11, 1958 to February 3, 1959.
