Also see . . . Military career of Elvis Presley (Wikipedia). The Wikipedia article indicates that Elvis landed in Germany by ship on October 1, 1958, almost certainly indicating that he arrived in either Hamburg, or possibly Bremen. Thus it is unclear where he spent his first two nights in Germany. Note also that the photo in this article places Hilbert‘s Parkhotel in Bad Nauheim, while the accompanying text places it in Bad Homburg. The former is correct.

3. Elvis in Germany
Just across the street from the marker, by the Hotel Villa Grunewald and the Elvis Stele, the local Elvis Presley Club (Elvis Presley Verein Bad Nauheim-Friedberg) has a small display, shown here. Between the information displayed on it and the Elvis-related historical marker in Bad Homburg, it is possible to account for almost all of Elvis‘ residence in Germany. From October 3 to October 6, 1958, he was at Ritter’s Parkhotel in Bad Homburg. From October 6 to October 11, 1958, he then stayed at the Hilberts Parkhotel in Bad Nauheim. From October 11, 1958 to February 3, 1959 he stayed at the Hotel Villa Grunewald, and from February 3, 1959 to March 2, 1960, he lived in a house at Goethestrasse 14 in Bad Nauheim.
