Riding a wild buffalo before President Teddy Roosevelt at the 1910 Cheyenne Frontier Days. Champion saddle bronc rider and roper, innovative rodeo director and stock contractor (1927-1961). Produced rodeos in the United States, Canada & Europe. Owned champion & hall of fame bucking horses "Midnight" & "Five Minutes to Midnight". Honorably inducted into the Navajo & Sioux Indian tribes. Member of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame (1972), the Pro-rodeo Hall of Fame (1990), the Fort Worth Rodeo Hall & Walk of Fames and the inaugural class of the Cheyenne Frontier Days' Hall of Fame (2002).
