Water Pumping Station
The sandstone column is the remains of a pumping station that served as a public water supply for the population of Hanau's old town. The building, like the entire city center, was destroyed by an Allied air raid on March 19, 1945, shortly before the end of World War II. The column was recovered from the rubble and integrated into the reconstruction of the building.
Erected 2020.
