1. McChesney Store Marker
Inscription.

Joseph R. McChesney, a second lieutenant in the Civil War and son of Rev. James McChesney, established the original McChesney General Store in a frame building in 1862 and moved into this new brick building in 1892. Now located on Crescent Boulevard, the McChesney Store is the oldest operating business in Glen Ellyn.
