This garden, which provides a home for Tufts' new Jumbo, was made possible through the generosity of Martin Richard (Dick) Asher, A53, and Sheila S. Asher in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the original Jumbo's arrival on the Tufts campus. April 2015

Regarding Dick and Sheila Asher Jumbo Garden. Jumbo is the mascot of Tufts University. The original Jumbo was a stuffed elephant donated to Tufts by PT Barnum. It was destroyed in a fire in April 1975.
