A Tufts Worthy and Benefactor. Founder of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Donor of the Fletcher Professorships and many buildings. 1852-1926

"His outlook on life and life's activities was from a lofty standpoint. He detested small things and was impatient for big results. But he was lovable, just the same, and generous especially so in his estimation of others not accredited as being his friends and admirers."
