1. Weinberg Block 1896 Marker
Two years later, they sold out to M. Glauber. Glauber operated the Globe Clothier here until the May Clothing Company bought him out in 1902. May Clothing was started by David May in Leadville in 1877. By the time May opened his Cripple Creek store, he already owned the Famous Clothing Store in St. Louis and a department store in Cleveland. It was 1957 before the May Company acquired the Daniels & Fischer Stores and renamed its Denver stores May D & F.
