Inscription. Jim Thome hit his 609th career home run, and last with the Phillies, a walk-off blast in the ninth inning to give the Phils a 7-6 win over the Rays. The walk-off homer was the 13th of his stellar career, which set a new MLB record. The victory also gave Charlie Manuel career win No. 900 as a major league manager.
