Honoring those who have served and continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces, the Steelworkers Veterans Memorial was organized by the Bethlehem Steel Veteran's Committee and dedicated in May of 1989.

The memorial was designed by Raymond Rosati Jr., a millwright in the plant, who served as a Marine in Vietnam. Materials were sourced from inside the Bethlehem Plant and Steelworkers from various machine shops, foundries, and mills crafted the different parts. It was constructed under the leadership of Paul Coachys and assembled in the Shipping Yard Maintenance Shop.

Originally standing outside the Lehigh Plant entrance to the west of this current location, the memorial was relocated to Foundry Park in the summer of 2020. Bethlehem Steel employees played an integral role in the war effort at home and abroad. This living memorial proudly honors the dedication of all former and current veterans who serve, shape, and strengthen our nation.
