1. Franklin D. Roosevelt Redbud Marker

Inscription. Throughout the Great Depression and World War II, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Redbud was one of many trees that renewed the presidents spirit during his nearly four terms as the nation's leader. The tree is located at Roosevelt's "Little White House" nested on Pine Mountain in Warm Springs, Georgia.

The eastern redbud is one of the most beautiful native, ornamental trees in Olio. It heralds the arrival of spring with lavender-pink blossoms, typically opening in April.
