1. Matt Zircher Marker
Dedicated to Matt Zircher, a 1989 Russia High School alumni and lifelong statistician. Throughout his years at RHS, Matt meticulously kept stats for a variety of sports including basketball and baseball. His love of sports brought him to the University of Dayton where he earned his degree in Sports Information Management. His passion led him to careers in Sports Information at Wright State University & UNOH. He was an official scorer for the Dayton Dragons baseball team and a sportswriter for the Sidney Daily News. His entire adult life was committed to doing what he loved in covering sports for local schools, colleges, and their athletes.
Matt spent many hours in the park's original press box as the official announcer and scorekeeper of the annual Russia Alumni Softball Tournament. His family, friends, classmates, and the Russia community proudly dedicate this new press box in his memory.
