Inscription. After 33 seasons at Veterans Stadium, the Phillies opened Citizens Bank Park with a 4-1 loss to Cincinnati. Randy Wolf threw the first pitch in the ballpark's history and future Phillies Wall of Famer Bobby Abreu hit the first home run.
