The name Olympus refers to the abode of the gods in Greek mythology, a mountain in eastern Greece also known as Olympos or Olympus (2,917 m).
Grønlandsleiret 15 has a long history as a meeting place. In 1872 there was a warehouse fitted out as a bowling alley. Ytteborg Brewery built the current building in 1892 and from 1894 Olympen Christiania Morskabsteater rented the premises. Folk comedies and revues were played on stage and the place was known for its live music and entertainment…
