Inscription.
This dome was on the Greenville courthouse from 1880 to 1973 when it needed replaced due to wood rot. The dome sat at the county garage until 1985 when Terry Clark saw it. He asked the county if you could have it for a gazebo, and they said yes. The county delivered it to the property, and Terry rolled the dome using telephone poles and an old tractor to the original bridge that spanned the millrace. Terry lost control of the dome and it rolled across the bridge to this spot, where it has stayed. Originally Terry's plan was to use the dome as a gazebo, but after discussing the idea with two Vietnam Veteran friends, Craig Jenkinson and Mike Good, they decided to honor the 21 Darke County Vietnam Veterans that didn't make it home.
