Inscription. This covered bridge began as a bucket list item of Jim Poeppelman (age 73), former board member and volunteer for the Friend's of Bear's Mill. Jim asked the previous owners of Bear's Mill, Terry and Julie Clark, if he could build a covered bridge over the millrace that connects their property to the Bear's Mill property. Of course, the Clark's said "Yes!". Along with Terry's (age 70) extensive timberframing experience, the two began the construction of the bridge in the Spring of 2018. Shortly after, they were joined by Bear's Mill volunteer, Jim Fritz (age 68). Additional helpers included Grant Read (age 14), and Brinley Wagner (age 5). Other help was given by volunteers too numerous to mention. Thank you to everyone who made this project possible!
