1. White Oak Creek Civil War House/Red Barn Marker

Inscription. White Oak Creek Civil War House – The Civil War House was originally located just west of the old Red Oak. It sat on the bank of White Oak Creek near an old cemetery in which lay the remains of the young men who were killed in the Civil War battle of White Oak Creek. This house overlooked the battle sight. It was one of the six houses left standing in the area after the Civil War. If only its walls could talk. This house is currently a private residence.

Red Barn –The Red Barn in South Red Oak II was moved in sections to Red Oak II in 1993. The barn was originally located near the town of Golden City, approximately 30 miles northeast of Red Oak II. During the winter months, Mr. Lowell would store his Leapin' Lizard in this barn.
