1. Coach Conrad "Connie" J. Aumann Marker
Coach Aumann led the Conger football team to a Concordia season-best record (post-war era) of 7-2 in 1968. In 1975, he led three of his players to district honors and was himself named NAIA Coach of the Year. Through 2007, Connie remains the Cougars' all-time winningest football coach with 70 victories.
Couch Aumann guided the Cougar softball program to 125 victories, including to an excellent 18-6 season in 1979. He also took the 1984 Cougar softball team to conference and the Metro Chicago Championships, making them the first softball team at Concordia invited to play in the NCAA Division III playoffs.
In addition to his coaching duties, Connie served as an administrator, athletic director and teacher during his 35-year career Concordia before retiring

Regarding Coach Conrad "Connie" J. Aumann. A native of Detroit, Connie Aumann was 31 years old when Concordia hired him as its athletic director and a professor of physical education in 1964. He died in 2006 at the age of 73.
