1. Club 7 (Selskabet For Oslo Byes Vel, in Norwegian).
Excerpt (in translation): The culture club grew out of the student environment and was established in the Aulakjelleren at the University in 1963. The young people were tired of being forced to wear ties and skirts, you had to dress as you wanted and have as free a position as you wanted. Name suggestions were first Club Intim or Club6. The poet Kate Nζss, on the other hand, suggested Club7, because the club should be "more than sex". The Hungarian Attila Horvath first started the club at Lilletorget before moving it to Drammensveien 64. Club7 came in 1971 to Vika under the Konserthuset. There they housed a gallery, cafι, library, rehearsal room and theater and music hall. The gathering place for the radical counterculture faced major financial challenges in the 1980s, and on April 1, 1985, Club7 declared itself bankrupt with millions in debt.(Submitted on July 23, 2024.)
