Inscription. The 14 trees planted in this parkway are living memorials to those men of LaGrange who died in the military service of their country during the World War. May their sacrifice inspire us to live as nobly as they died.

3. World War I Memorial Trees Marker
A 1998 plaque, related to a memorial tree dedicated by the La Grange chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is about 15 feet south of the 1921 marker. Elm Park is across the street.
