In this chapel is venerated the miraculous image of Jesus of Nazareth captive outraged and rescued in Fez by the Barefoot Trinitarian priests in the year 1682 and of the Most Holy Virgin Mother of Jesus, Queen of Victories and Peace.

when in 1682, in the Moroccan city of Mequinez, the carving of Jesus Nazareno Cautivo that had been in the church of La Mamora is rescued. For the rescue of this carving, a painting was made that currently belongs to the Cathedral of Malaga, being an anonymous work of the 17th century. On this painting there is the following inscription: "The miraculous image of Jesus of Nazareth captivated and outraged by the Moors in the kingdom of Fez, rescued by the redemption of the Discalced Trinitarian Fathers. Year 1682."

From this event, in the last third of the 17th century, the Brotherhood of the Rescue was founded…
