1. XM-21 Marker
Inscription. Mostly engine, this vehicle was used as a target for the Nike and Hawk air defense systems under test at White Sands. The XM-21 was guided by radio remote control and its jet turbo engine propelled it to speeds up to 500 knots. A two-stage parachute was used to bring the craft safely back to the ground. U.S. Army.
