1. The 71st Regiment of Foot charging the Maryland Continentals Marker

Inscription. Late in the battle, Lt. Colonel Alexander McDonald ordered his 1st and 2nd Battalions of the 71st Regiment of Foot (Fraser's Highlanders) to reinforce the British front and to swiftly strike against and through the Maryland and Delaware Continentals. Lord Cornwallis lamented "the loss of so many brave men," with 68 British killed and 245 wounded.
