1. VC-6A Plane Marker
Inscription. The VC-6A was acquired by the Army and assigned to Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, 26 July 1966. The aircraft was used extensively transporting Dr. Wernher Von Braun between White Sands Missile Range and Redstone. It was fitted with stores for mounting test devices when not used for personnel transportation. The VC-6A saw duty at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, and was sent to White Sands Missile Range as a test aircraft. U.S. Army
