1. Manlius Historical Society Marker
Inscription. The Manlius Historical Society was incorporated on October 31, 2001 with the purpose of purchasing the old First State Bank building, preserving its unique style of architecture and reopening it as a museum.

The Manlius Historical Society purchased the First State Bank building located at 122 East Maple Ave., Manlius, IL on April 9, 2002. The bank had failed and was closed during the Great Depression in March, 1933. After its restoration, the First State Bank was reopened as a museum April 16, 2012. The Manlius Historical Society thanks all who have contributed towards the restoration of this historic building, designed by architect Parker Noble Berry in 1914.
