1. Two Battles - Two Routes Marker
Inscription. From here, troops of the United States first marched into battle against the British on September 19, 1777. The path to your right will take you three quarters of a mile to Freeman's Farm, the site of the First Battle of Saratoga.

Your next stop along the tour road is the site where the Second Battle of Saratoga broke out on October 7.
