built by H.K. Porter of Pittsburgh, PA.
0-4-OT type with Const No. 5980
in Nov. 1917 for Watertown arsenal in Mass.

Acquired by E&M Ry. in 1942 from dealer Birmingham Rail & Locomotive Co.

Edgemoor & Manetta Ry. was a short line railway which ran 2.5 miles from Manetta Mills at Lando, SC. to the Seaboard Interchange at Edgemoor.

E&M Ry. was chartered by the state of South Carolina on Feb. 28, 1899. E&M Ry. was owned and operated by Manetta Mills which was owned by the Heath family. The railroad ceased operations on July 9,1975. Harry Heath was the 3rd generation of Heaths to serve as president of Manetta Mills and E & M Ry.

Engine No. 5 was donated to the town of Richburg by Harry Heath as a conditional gift in 1995. It was moved to the present location at that time.
