1. Buddy Bell, 3B Marker

Inscription. A three-time Rangers Player of the Year who excelled with his bat and glove in seven seasons in Arlington. Won six consecutive Gold Gloves at third base from 1979-84 and appeared in four All-Star Games in a Rangers uniform. Established career highs with 162 games, 670 at bats, 200 hits, and 42 doubles in 1979, all club records at the time. Batted .294 or higher five times. Ranks seventh on club's all-time list in doubles and triples and is eighth in eight other offensive categories. Retired as a Ranger after 34 games in 1989. Produced over 2500 hits and 200 home runs in 18-year career with Indians, Rangers, Reds, and Astros. Among third basemen, ranks fourth in assists and sixth in games. Inducted July 31, 2004.
