1. Leechburg High School Building Marker

Inscription. Designed by W.G. Eckels of New Castle and built by Ley Construction of Pittsburgh between 1922 and 1924. This Classical Revival structure has served the Leechburg Area School District since 1924. Dedicated on September 26th it featured 23 classrooms, a gymnasium and a 900-seat auditorium. 177 students enrolled in the first year. In continuous service since its opening, it is among the oldest serving high school buildings in the state with major renovations completed in 1996. Leechburg Area Historical Landmark
