Inscription. Jeter is one of the most decorated players in franchise history, having set franchise records in career hits, games played, at-bats, doubles, and stolen bases. Named 1996 A.L. Rookie of the Year, he won both the All-Star game and the World Series MVP awards in 2000. A 14-time All-Star, five-time World Champion, five-time Gold Glove Award winner, five-time Silver Slugger winner, and member of the 3,000-hit club, he was the longest-tenured captain in club history.
