Kenny Rogers, LHP. Playing Career: 1989-2008. A consistent winner who pitched in 528 games over three stints with the Rangers, the most appearances in club history. Ranks second on team's all-time list with 133 victories and 1909 innings pitched and is third with 252 games started and 1201 strikeouts. Recorded ten or more wins nine times with three seasons of at least 16 victories. His 18 wins in 2004 are most ever for a Ranger lefthander. Led the staff in wins in six different years and had the lowest ERA on four occasions. Was a four-time selection as Rangers Pitcher of the Year and was named to three All-Star teams with Texas. Retired all 27 batters for the first perfect game ever for an American League lefthander on July 28, 1994 vs California. Set a club record by pitching 39.0 consecutive scoreless innings in 1995. His fielding prowess earned him three Gold Gloves as a Ranger. Was a 39th round draft pick who did not pitch until his first pro season in 1982. Won 219 games with 762 appearances in a 20-year Major League career that also included time with the Yankees, A's, Mets, Twins, and Tigers. Inducted August 6, 2011.
