Eric Nadel. Years as Rangers Broadcaster: 1979-Present. The longest-tenured broadcaster in franchise history. A passionate student of the game who has called Texas Rangers games for nearly three and a half decades. His ability to describe and analyze the action has provided excitement and enjoyment for millions of fans. Joined the Rangers in 1979, then teamed with fellow Hall of Famer Mark Holtz on radio from 1982-1994. Since becoming the lead radio voice in 1995, has been behind the microphone when Texas clinched five A.L. West Division titles and its first two A.L. Championships. Also called Nolan Ryan's 5000th strikeout on August 22, 1989, the Rangers' record 30th run on August 22, 2007, and Josh Hamilton's fourth home run of the game on May 8, 2012. Is a seven-time recipient of the Texas Sportscaster of the Year award and a 1991 inductee in the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame. Inducted August 11, 2012.
