A respected veteran in the field of player evaluation, Billy Blitzer has signed such players as Shawon Dunston and Jamie Moyer for the Chicago Cubs during his time as a professional Scout. Blitzer once said, "Seeing a player you signed do well makes you so proud, almost as if it were your own child out there on the field." Blitzer remained a professional scout covering the Northeast for the Chicago Cubs organization as of 2005.
