Regarding The Don Carlos Court. This bungalow court contains seven homes built around a central courtyard and walkway. The homes were designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style and were all built with stucco facades and tiled gable roofs. The courtyard includes a decorative birdbath and planter. Contractor Clarence Hudson Burrell built the court in 1927.

bungalow court design without becoming restrictive; creativity in execution and adaptation to circumstances has produced an architectural form filled with individuality.
First, the buildings of this high-density housing type were most often arranged in a "U"-shape, open end at the street, a result of the rectangular shape of land parcels.
Generally, courts were constructed between 1910 and 1930, although a few were built later.
