The George Rogers Champion of Freedom Award
The George Rogers Champion of Freedom Award was established to honor a person with connections to Liberty University or Central Virginia who served in the United States military to protect our freedom. It was named in honor of Army veteran George Rogers who survived the Bataan Death March in 1942 and went on to serve at Liberty University and its related ministries for more than 25 years. He was the first recipient on November 6, 2010.
