The Butterfly Project
This artistic and educational project memorializes the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust and honors the survivors.
The Butterfly Project, has become a global and unifying memorial that uses the lessons of the Holocaust to teach tolerance and to remember the past, act responsibly in the present and create a more peaceful future. The project is also named in Hebrew, Zikaron V' Tikvah (Remembrance and Hope). The Butterfly Project inspires people to have the courage to look at the Holocaust through the eyes, hearts and hands of activism.
This project transforms resistance through art and education and empowers people to take actions against injustice. Every butterfly painted memorializes a child that was lost and symbolizes a voice that is gained.
