Overrun!
More than half of Colonel Breymann's men went out in the probing force ordered by General Burgoyne on October 7. When they were beaten back, the survivors ran for the safety of the British Light Infantry Redoubt. None of Breymann's men returned here. Morgan's Corps took advantage of this weakness and attacked. Once General Arnold and other American units joined in, the assault was overwhelming.
