1. Proud Wagons Marker
Inscription. The Piedmont Wagon Company mobilized the city with its horse-drawn wagons from 1878 until 1940s, when it was producing junior wagons as children's toys. At its peak, demand was so great that the company inaugurated a night shift—likely Hickory's first.
