Inscription.
The Lynchburg Garden Club (est. 1922) commissioned renowned landscape architect, Charles F. Gillette, to design the Miller Claytor House Garden in 1937 after the house had been moved from its original downtown location to Riverside Park. The garden was planted in 1940 and remains an ongoing project of the Lynchburg Garden Club. The garden is open daily from dawn to dusk.
