Inscription.
1830 - Part of Nathan Boone's survey of the Commons.

1854 - Part of Andrew Wilson's 999 yr lease of the Commons.

1855 - Part of Jeremia Fletcher Rigg's subdivision of the Commons.

1869 - A structure is indicated on this property on the illustrated map of St. Charles.

1870 - The house in an example of one of St. Charles' classic brick Half Houses. Brick fan lintels and transommed door and a rear work porch are typical of Half House construction. The dormer and front porch are later additions.

1878 - Frank Billing and later Francis Billing paid the taxes on this propenty till 1896.

1891 - City directory indicates persons renting here and working for A.C.F. (American Car and Foundry).

1903 - Original lot measured 100 ft. x 300 ft. from Sixth Street to Deaton along Lawrence. It was divided at 57 ft. 6 inches x 100 ft. and sold to Henry Dickmann and his wife Emma. Henry also worked at A.C.F.

1915 - Edward A. Ringe and his wife Helen (nee) Poser. Their son Edward H. worked for the St. Mary's Oil Co. There was also a daughter Helen Zelda. Edward, senior, worked as a pattern maker for A.C.F. Edward A. Ringe was the son of Mr. Louis Ringe, Civil War veteran, gunsmith, hardware store owner,

City Councilman, and Mayor. After Edward's death his widow remained here until 1965 (41 years).
