Ivan Rodriguez, C. Playing Career: 1991-2011. One of the top all-around catchers to ever play the game. Spent his first 12 seasons in a Rangers uniform before returning for 28 games at the end of 2009. Ranks second in club history with 1747 hits, 352 doubles, and 490 multi-hit games, is third with 28 triples and 217 home runs, and places fourth with 1507 games, 866 RBI, 2806 total bases, and 597 extra base hits. Hit .300 or better in seven straight seasons from 1996-2002. Was named as the 1999 A.L. Most Valuable Player, setting a league record for a catcher with 35 homers. His cannon-like arm that shut down the opposition's running game and his quickness behind the plate earned him 10 consecutive Gold Gloves as a Ranger from 1992-2001. Was selected as an A.L. All-Star in all ten of those years, starting the last nine games in that span. Was the 1991 Rangers Rookie of the Year at age 19 and the team's 1995 Player of the Year. Holds the all-time major league records for a catcher with 2427 games caught, 13 Gold Gloves, and 12 All-Star game starts. Hit .296 with 311 homers over 21 seasons with the Rangers, Marlins, Tigers, Yankees, Astros, and Nationals. Inducted July 20, 2013.
