Inscription.
A fine example of Spanish Colonial Revival design, this building was designed by Gogerty & Weyl and erected in 1927. Above the doorway and extending to the second floor, it features ornamental decoration known as Churrigueresque design, named for the Spanish architect Josι Benito de Churriguera. The detailing is a fanciful combination of floral and scrollwork, cast and attached to the building, and which inspired the Hollywood studio set designers who designed fantasy settings for motion pictures.
