1. 1100 North Fifth Street Marker
Inscription. (c.1907) In 1824 property part of Common ground, was leased for $1 per year and most likely used as farm ground. In 1882, was sold on courthouse steps as 5 different parcels. In 1907, Jacob Schaeffer and wife most likely built the house. In 1933, the basement was dug under the house by hand. Sunporch and dormers have been added.
